 Principal Tonya Landry

Principal Landry

Mrs. Landry is a graduate of Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.  In 1997, Mrs. Landry began her teaching career in Lawton, Oklahoma as a Reading teacher.  Her Master of Science degree in Psychology is from Cameron University. Mrs. Landry has taught French at M. B. Smiley High School and English at Aldine High School.  Prior to coming to Nimitz Ninth Grade School in 2014, Mrs. Landry was an assistant principal for Administration at Aldine High School. She has fifteen years of experience in Aldine ISD.




Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction Stephen Heady

Mr. Heady is a graduate of Bob Jones University with a degree in Science Education.
His M.A. is from Indiana State University in English Literature.  Mr. Heady has taught science classes at Grantham Middle School, Aldine Ninth Grade School, and Aldine High School.  Prior to coming to Nimitz Ninth Grade School School, Mr. Heady was an assistant principal for Administration at Aldine High School.  Mr. Heady has twenty-four years of experience in Aldine ISD.

Mr. Garrett is a graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science.  He obtained his Masters in Education Degree from Prairie View A&M University. Mr. Garrett taught Social Studies for ten years at Aldine ISD’s W.T. Hall Center for Education. Mr. Garrett currently serves as Assistant Principal at Nimitz 9th Grade. He has held this position for three years.

Welcome to Nimitz 9th Campus. My name is Miguel A.Vasquez and I am an Assistant Principal responsible for the Alpha split A-K. It is our vision at Nimitz Ninth Grade we will maintain high academic standards, embrace technology, and prepare our students to become productive members of a global society. I began my teaching career in Queens, N.Y. as  a 7/8th grade Self-Contained teacher. I have also worked with elementary schools as a teacher in Albuquerque, NM and in Texas. Prior to coming to Nimitz 9th, I was an assistant principal at Nimitz High School for the last 3 years. I graduated from Hunter College of the City University of New York with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. I received my first Master of Arts  in Secondary Education from The University of New Mexico. I received my second Master of Education in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University.
